I walked in to a total "everyone hates people who aren't white" store.
All of a sudden, everyone and everything gets quiet. I mean so quiet
you could here a drop of water fall from the ceiling.
Then this little boy runs over, stops right in front of me and says,
"You don't belong here, your not the same like us, so why are you
where your not suppose to be? We don't want you here, so leave." Let
me tell you, that little boy was so loud, it was echoing off the
walls. I looked around and saw men, women, and children glaring and
nodding to agree with the little boy. I feel to my knees and laughed
so hard. I can't remember the last time I actually laughed so hard it
hurt! Tears blurred my vision and I could here people screaming. I
guess laughing and crying at the same time really isn't a good
impression on people.
Finally, I stand up, rub the tears away, and say," Your right. I don't
belong. But neither do you. Other than your skin color, what do you
really have in common? I know I don't belong and that's the best part
of my life. No, I don't look like you. No, I'm not the same as you.
But if I had to choose between being the same and being different,
Then I damn sure would choose being different because then I get to
see the world for what it really is. It's full of color, love,
beginnings, friendship, family, and out of all that, only a little bit
is filled with hatred."
I turned around and walked right out. I kept thinking, "what was wrong
with people who had so much hatred in their eyes and their heart,
just like people in the store did."
We're all different and I think that's the best thing ever. I mean to
tell the truth, it would be really boring if everyone was the same:D
Sometimes I hate my life and myself, but at the end of the day, I
realize my life's not so bad as I thought it was.
